January 30, 2017 - Horseshoe Beach, FL to St. Augustine, FL

The winds had died down. The sky was (guess what?)  blue. 😀 The tide was very low.

Today is the day we check out of here and go to St. Augustine where we will camp for 2 weeks. We left Horseshoe Beach campground at 10 am. We are going to really miss this place very much, but we need to get moving.
From Highway 19 South we took Route 26 East toward Gainesville, FL, then to 20 to stop at Quinby Cabinet Shop to visit Jack and Edna.  Edna’s two friends from Brooksville, FL were there to visit them, also.  Erwin wanted Jack to make a tabletop with formica for his woodburning station in our Lil’ Home.

We arrived St. Johns RV Park at 3 pm.  The office left a note on the door telling us which lot we were assigned to.  When we called to reserve a month ago we asked to stay for 14 nights.  However, when we checked in at the office the lady said we are staying for 13 nights.  After explaining our situation they added one more night.

The campground is next door to St. Johns Flea Market that opens Saturday and Sunday only.

After getting the Lil' Home set up we rested for rest of the day.
