February 25, 2016 - Jacksonville, FL

A nice, but chilly morning.  The weather news reported that the temperature will dip to low 30’s or 40’s for the next few days.

We went over to Teena’s house for a visit and breakfast with Sarah and the family. It was good to see them again. Teena served blueberry pancakes and scrabbled eggs.  We wanted to stay longer, but we have a dental appointment for both of us, needed to go home and get ready.

Our granddaughter, Annabelle

Sarah and her son, Thomas "Tom"

Edith, Tom, Sarah, Teena and Erwin
Edith had a 1 pm appointment and Erwin at 2 pm.  After Edith was done she went to Southern Photo Tech to pick up her Canon camera.  The camera’s sensor had black spots on it and needed to be cleaned. It cost $65 for the service, and the guy showed Edith how to manually clean the sensor.  She went back to the dentist office and waited for them to be finished with Erwin.

Erwin’s hearing aid needed new tube and we went to the one near the dentist office, but it was closed and empty inside; although the sign was still on the building.  There was one we used to frequent before even though it was little out of the way. Erwin really needed to get his hearing aid fixed before we start traveling next week.  They got the tube replaced and Erwin left the shop a happy guy.

Back home we started getting things ready for Feb 26-28 camping weekend with Deaf Explore Adventure of Florida campers at O'Leno State Park in High Springs, FL.  We look forward to having fun playing games, chatting, sitting by the campfire with the group.
