Since the mall was not open until 10 am we stayed at Starbucks to drink coffee and had light breakfast.
We found a parking spot not far from Watersplash entrance #50 at West Edmonton Mall. We walked right into Watersplash viewing area. What a huge pool they have. It was amazing to see how it makes waves. It was still early in the morning and there were not too many people.
Comparing to the day before when we came and it was crowded it was easy to get around and not having to bump into people. The mall is really HUGE! We took our sweet time and checked out every store. It even has an ice rink and there was an hockey game going on. Lots of spectators lined up all around the rink. It was an invitational hockey tournament for 10-12 year old kids. We stayed and watched the game a bit. Boy, the kids sure played excellently.

Went in Galaxyland, an amusement park. So many different rides and games. Even though we are deaf we could hear noises everywhere!

Before we knew it we spent 4 1/2 hours in the mall. Now our legs started to feel tired and we were ready to go out to get fresh air!
Looked for gas, could not find a station for miles and the van was showing less than 90 miles to empty. Fianlly found one at Safeway.
It started to drizzle late in the afternoon. When we had enough of sightseeing in a big city we left to go to Elk Island National Park. We were lucky to get a camping site there. After supper we went out for a ride to check out different areas. Saw lots of ducks and birds, bisons, also.
