When we were done eating breakfast we re-organized the van a bit and hit the road.
We continued driving on Highway 17 toward Sudbury, Ontario (ON). Beautiful rock formations along the route. There were lots of rock cairns on top of the boulders.
At one place Edith was scanning the landscape and spotted a great scene for photography. Of course, we were already past it, so Erwin made a U-turn to go back to the spot. Nice reflection of the rock bridge on the pond.
We saw something moving in the tree and we thought it might be a moose, so we stayed a while to see if it will show up. Oh well, it was just a cow. 87 days into our vacation and we have yet to see a moose!
Stopped at Tim's Horton's (similar to Dunkin Donuts in U.S.) in McKerrow, ON to take a break. Erwin wanted something "sweet", so he got himself an apple fritter. While we were still in town we got gas for $1.33 Canadian dollars which is equivalent to $5 per gal in U.S.
Got on Regional 55 from Highway 17. Nice drive, but very bumpy road
Crossed Highway 17, continued on 55 then left to a back road to get a close look of the water tower, but found it impossible to take good pics, so we went back to Highway 17 west, and Edith managed to get good shots of the tower. Then we U-turned to 17 East then off to 55 for Sudbury, ON.
We drove over to Dynamic Earth to take a look at the Big Nickel that is almost 30 feet tall replica of a 1951 Canadian nickel. If we are not mistaken it is listed in Guinness Records as the world's largest coin

There was nothing else to see in Sudbury, so we continued driving on Highway 17/69.
Colorful Adirondack chairs, we had to turn around and come back for this picture. |
They are selling them in Canada, but it is perfect for Florida wear! |
We decided to check in at a KOA campground early in the afternoon, so we can do some sightseeing while there is light left.
