Since the campground is unserviced we had to take another sponge bath. Filled up a pot of water and let it heat til right temperature.
Light breakfast - cereal with fruits

First stop was at Columbia Icefield Center. There were not many tourists at early morning hours. We had two sets of tickets left for Skywalk and Columbia Icefield Glacier Adventure, so we went to Glacier Skywalk first. Got on the bus that took about 5 mins to get to the skywalk from the center. The skywalk is very new and just opened to the public last May 2014. The work is not quite complete. Very breathtaking view. Good set of information along the way to the skywalk after you get off the bus. Edith could set up a chair and watch the mountains and glaciers for hours and hours. It was interesting to see the bottom of the mountains through the glass floor. Did not see any wildlife. Took videos and photos. There were two guys who were so terrified of walking on the glass floor. One of them really wanted to hurry and get away from the skywalk. One mountain had glaciers that was as thick as 100 meters, as long as a football field with end zones! The weather was just perfect for the viewing. Got on the bus back to the center.
As we arrived back to the Icefield center the parking lot was almost full and more tour buses showed up. We went to Glacier Adventure booth, but were told to go to another gate to check when the next available time schedule for the tour. The next available time slot was 12:30 pm and we had 45 mins left, so we went upstairs to the cafeteria to get lunch.
By the time we came back from lunch the line to the bus was long! We finally got on the bus that took us to the icefield area where we boarded the icefield bus that brings us to the glacier area. It was fun walking on the glacier, but they did not give us ample time to do whatever we wanted to. While there, Erwin happened to step on a soft slushy area so he bent down and dug down a little bit in the cold ice, He found a rock that was imbedded in the Glacier! Wondering if it has been there since the Glacier was "born"? It's possible but with no way of proving it nor disproving it, Erwin put the rock in his pocket for a memento of the episode. The rock is pictured below! The guide was Dave, and he talked nonstop, but very funny and pleasant. Boarded the bus that took us back to the center, but before getting there there were few bighorn sheep walking on the road.
We went north on 93 after getting back from the adventure at the glacier. Next stop was to see Tangle Falls, very beautiful.
Then Sunwapta Falls - a 15 minute hike to see it
Left 93 to The most popular waterfall in Jasper National Park is called Athabasca Falls.
We opted to camp out at Whistler Campground because of its large camping sites, but it turned out that they did not have any sites with electricity and water available, so we got a site with no hookups, got site 26JJ for $27.40 CD. After settling in Edith started supper which consisted of BBQ pork chops, dirty rice, green beans and tomato/mozzarella salad.(Yes, we eat well as pictures of my tummy shows!) Before we started our trip Edith wanted to get a BBQ grill, saw it at Camping World and it has a cooking stove next to it. It was our first time to use new Coleman stove/grill, and it was really easy to hook it to the propane in the van. It did not take long to cook the chops.
Edith decided to do time lapse of the evergreen trees and clouds, while Erwin read a book written by Louis L'armour. Edith started to feel down because of the allergy reaction to the pollen and decided to go to bed early.
