Went to Jasper townsite to look for a laundromat, found it. It took 3 washers to wash all the stuff. $4 for a 30 minute wash cycle for each washer, $4 for a 40 minute dry cycle wash dryer, used 3. Had to put extra money to get clothes more dry! While Erwin was at the laundromat Edith walked over to the visitor's center to use its wifi to check email and then browsed stores. She went back to the laundromat and helped Erwin fold the stuff. $28 worth of laundry!!! Clean clothes, towels and sheets now. Should last more than a week..

After we were done with the laundry we walked over to Smitty's to have breakfast. Very good breakfast - Erwin had Harvest skillet and Edith had eggs Benedict with hash browns. We then walked to the grocery store to pick up groceries and a case of water.
Drove up to see Patricia and Pyramid lakes. At Pyramid we took a 100m loop to get a close look at Pyramid Mountains.. Very picturesque.

We went by to check out Fort Point, but we decided not to go hiking because of steep trails and Erwin's knee might not take it well. Walked around, took pictures.
On 16 going to See Lake Edith, pretty lake. People were swimming or tubing. Then to Jasper Park Lodge Golf Club, but hard to find a parking spot so we left.

Lake Edith |
Visited Medicine Lake, the trail to the base of the lake is closed due to eagle nesting area. There was a sign explaining the approximate location of the eagle nest, so Edith used zoom lens to find it. No one was home :-(

On way to Maligne Lake we saw black bear with one cub (we failed to get a good picture of the shy, elusive cub) then less than a mile later, bighorn sheep. Some males with beautiful curved horns
Arrived Maligne Lake area, saw white-tailed deer, walked to the base of the lake near the boathouse to take pictures.
On way back to Jasper we saw a male black bear grazing. About 100 ft away from where we stood. There was a line of tourists taking pictures, too. The bear was unfazed by our presence.
Light drizzle began, but we were already done with sightseeing and were on way to Jasper to get gas. At first, we were planning to get out of Jasper and find campground east of it, but we were not sure if there were any with availability, so we opted to go back to Whistler's Campground again.
Whistler's Campground again had no available sites with hookups. So, we were assigned to site 19D without hookups.
After supper we went out for a walk around the campground, came to a site (not too far from our site) and there was an old, but beautiful Ford truck with a retro teardrop trailer matching the colors and design of the truck. We introduced ourselves to the couple and asked them about the vehicle and the trailer. They were from Red Deer, Alberta and the guy custom built the trailer. Beautifully done.
