June 1, 2017 - Cochrane, AB Canada

Lazy morning for us. No reason to rush and go out since we are trying not to use the Jeep today.

After breakfast we went biking on the trail along the Bow River, continued biking until we reached Riverfront Park, turned right to go to downtown Cochrane.

We took a rest break at Tim Horton's and Erwin got donut and coffee.  I did not want any, just wanted to rest and check email.
We must have biked over 6 miles. My legs felt a little like jello. We had not biked since last March when we were vacationing in Texas.

We spent the afternoon resting, catching up on things.

After supper we went to the office to get sweet treats.  While there we met Cynthia and Peter from Alabama who has an older Scottsdale RV (gas engine) that was made by Newmar.  Scottsdale was in production for 3 years from 2002-2005 before Newmar changed the name to Bay Star.

Cynthia and Peter explained to us that they got caught in traffic jam in Calgary for 2 hours, moving no more than 15 mph all the way.  We asked them if they were going on the caravan with us and others to Alaska.  No, they are going on their own.  They were very nice and pleasant.

As soon as we got back in our "home" it started to rain and the winds kicked in, but it did not last very long

Erwin and I played Chicken Feet domino game (starting with Double Zero to Double 5) with Erwin leading. We plan to resume the game tomorrow night , starting with Double 6.
