May 15, 2018 - Genola, Springville & Spanish Fork, UT

This morning Erwin made some calls to diesel engine service shops to see if any one of them can put us down for an appointment for service on our Lil' Home (LH).  Few shops did not have any openings, but one of them suggested that Erwin contact Davies Motor Co in Springville, UT.  The secretary said she could put us down for 9 am tomorrow morning.

After the phone conversation we went to Springville to see where Davies Motor is, so we won’t get lost going there tomorrow. While at the shop we talked with Ron, one of the mechanics, about the problem with LH losing speed when going uphill.  Ron's dad, Russell, an owner of the shop, led us outside where an exhaust manifold was (it belonged to one of the trucks) and showed us what the problem might be. He thought the gaskets may be blown out and will need to be replaced.  He said he won't know more of the specific problem until they run tests tomorrow morning.
After leaving the shop we went over to Erwin's sister's house for a visit.  Thelma and Fred live not too far from the shop.  It was a nice visit with them.  We talked about her and Erwin's family history, and Thelma showed us pictures she took when she and Fred visited a cemetery in Iowa.  There are burials that bear Miers name.  Erwin's dad was born and raised in Iowa. Thelma and I also talked about Young Living essential oils that we both use.

After the visit we went back to Phoebe's house where we just chilled and rest for a while.  We then went with Phoebe and her kids when they were out in the back checking on some animals.
