April 16, 2016 - Lakewood, CO

We woke up to a magical winterland. It snowed while we slept.  It was still snowing.  The visibility was limited to something like 1/2 of a mile.

There was a large flock of American Robins looking for worms and/or grubs that emerged from the ground.  Western or mountain bluebirds were around, also.

Edith wanted to go to check on the Mama owl and her babies, but were not up to getting overdressed for this kind of weather, decided to just stay put and do other things.

It snowed allay long.  The snowplow came by once in a while plowing roads inside the park.  We were impressed with the park's promptness in keeping roads safe and plowed during snowy days.

We were toasty and warm throughout the day, made plans for tomorrow's outing (if it does not snow again).
