August 5, 2014 (106th Day)

Edith got out of bed quickly after she peered through the rear window at 6 am, it was very foggy and she wanted to get pictures of the fog before it dissipated.

Edith decided she wanted to go back and visit Peggy's Cove again since the campground was less than 5 miles away.

Edith was hoping to be able to take pictures of the lighthouse without lingering tourists around.  When we got there she was surprised to see a group of photographers.  They were very respectful of other photographers and waited for permission to walk in front of you which made for pleasant and easy shooting!   Edith found several spots for photo shooting.  Then the blue sky appeared and Edith was happy because it makes more interesting for pictures.

Fishing Village in Bayswater, NS

We made a quick stop in Blanford, NS

Seagull (it was BIG)

Waterfalls on Route 3 before we reached East Chester, NS

It was in Chester, NS that we decided to take a break from driving and to take a walk around the town. We wanted to check out Anglo-Saxon church: St. Stephen's Anglican Church that was built in 1840, but it was closed.  The brochure said the interior is exquistive and a mixture of Greek and Gothic Revival architecture.  The cemetery is right in front of the church.

After Chester we went to Mahone Bay and had lunch while enjoying the view of the bay

The lady was hanging up clothes on the rooftop
Mahone Bay had a festival few days before we came by and the theme
was pirates. There were many pirate decors all over the town.

We made a brief stop in Lunenberg, NS (a famous fishing village), but we could not stay long to explore the town.  This is the town we will have to visit and spend a good day another time.

It was in Dayspring, NS that the colorful adirondack chairs caught our eyes when we drove past the house, decided to make a u-turn to go back to it.  We met Ron who built the chairs.  His pun on Adirondack was changed to utilize his name "Add A Ron Deck chair to your deck!"  A very pleasing fellow.  He and Erwin carried on the conversation while Edith went about taking pictures of the chairs.  Ron was telling Erwin about his biking with Lance Armstroing two times, was planning on biking with him again during the week of September 17th traveling from Toronto to Maine. He mentioned that before Lance revealed the story about his cheating there were over 50 cyclists, but after the story broke out many left the group and now it is down to 15 cyclists.

We were getting low on groceries and Erwin wanted to get more fruits. We shopped at Sobey's in Bridgewater, NS.

On way to Yarmouth, NS the visibility distance was low due to fog.

We spent the night at Camper's Haven Campground in Arcadia, NS.  It was 8 pm when we arrived and Edith fixed quick supper.
