July 6, 2017 - Homer Spit, AK to Seward, AK

Before 6 am Erwin woke me up to tell me to go outside to take pictures of the sunrise. This time I did not brush him off and quickly got out of the bed!

The sunrise was so beautiful and there was a hole in the sky that shed a ray in front of the Kenai mountains.
Our team, Sea Turtles, was the first one to head out of Homer Spit, AK at 10:05 am.

Our first stop on our way to Seward was to visit Soldotna, AK.  There is a nice visitor center that has interesting exhibits and a walkway to the river's edge.

The drive along Kenai Lake via Seward Highway was beautiful.

We arrived Seward town at 3:20 pm., pulled into the Seward Chamber of Commerce Visitor's Center to unhitch the Jeep before heading toward Seward Waterfront Park Campground that has a view of the Resurrection Bay. The campground has a bike/walk path right in front of the Bay.
