We left Wahweap Campgroud at 9:20 am, headed toward Highway 89 North. The destination we decided to stay at is Hatch, UT, a small town with a population of 13. Why did we pick Hatch to stay in? It is on a ranch land, not so far from Bryce Canyon National Park and Scenic Byway Route 12.
Getting ready to get back on the road |
The ride along Highway 89 was just lovely and the views of the colorful mountains were so captivating.
We arrived Wilderness Ranch Campground, a 1.5 mile drive away from the road. The road was dirt and bumpy! After pulling up to the office Brad, the campground owner, came out to greet us, instructed us where to park our Lil' Home. After giving us a bag containing maps of attractions he told us to proceed to the campground and meet with the host, who led us to site #3 (pull-thru with full hookups). You can see a piece of Bryce Canyon in the background.

Time Lapse
After getting our Lil' Home set up we went off to visit Red Canyon and Bryce Canyon. It was already 5:30 pm when we set out. We were hoping to get to the Canyon before the sunset. It took about 20 minutes from the campground to Red Canyon, and it was still bright when we went through the Canyon, much to my relief. We stopped at only two viewpoints at Bryce Canyon, and I managed to snap some pictures before the sun went down. We hurried back to the campground before it got too dark.
