We were relieved that no one came by to knock on the door during the night to tell us we needed to move. We slept like a log and woke up feeling refreshed. It was partly cloudy and the sun was hiding behind the clouds.
The roadway was in bad condition |
Erwin called Lake Louisa State Park in Clermont, FL to see if there were any campsites available, and they did not have any. We were hoping that Winter Garden RV Resort has few sites available. We walked over to the office, reported about the problem we encountered yesterday. The lady apologized and asked if we plan on staying a couple more days. The site we parked on last night is available until Monday. We may stay past Monday and it all depends on the Jeep.
Erwin and I took a walk to the lounge where there are books to exchange. They have games, puzzles, sewing kits, etc. We were tempted to take one box of 1000 piece puzzles.
Deep pondering... |
We then walked across the street from the RV Resort to check out the store at Giant Recreation World. We did not see anything worth buying. We then walked across to see if Harbor Freight store sells nail guns. While Erwin was browsing at Harbor I went to Aldi, the store next door, to see if they have iced tea in gallon size. Nope! Harbor did not have nail guns. Two strikes! Oh well…
I walked around the pond, took pictures of the hooded mergansers and the white duck I dubbed "Aflac". Great Blue Heron was there, but became skittish as I got closer to get better frames. No, it did not give me a chance to recompose and it flew away.
Both of us were starting to feel down in the dumps and decided to rest for rest of the day.
