Gary Young and his wife, Mary had their first organic herb farming and distillation in 1993 After establishing Young Living in 1994, the Youngs added more farmland in Utah and Idaho. Gary spent over 30 years studying the benefits of essential oils.
On May 12, 2018 Gary passed away at the age of 69 due to complications after series of strokes. A funeral was held at Young Living Farm with thousands of mourners in attendance. Erwin's niece, Phoebe and her parents went there to pay their respects.

There is a store on the premises, and we wanted to pick up some products we need before we begin our summer journey. After the purchase we took a long walk on the farmland to see Percherons, white bisons, miniature horses and two-humped camel.
While we were on our way back to the parking lot we could smell that something was being distilled at the distillation plant. We walked up to see what plant they were distilling. It was Juniper, the same plant that was distilled last year when we came to visit with Phoebe.
