It rained more while we slept. But, it is a lovely morning and Erwin went to pick up Darlene so she can eat breakfast with us. Edith got cooking started while Erwin was away.
After breakfast we checked out of the "campsite" and moved our LH to the parking lot at Forsyth Middle School.
Darlene went with us for a ride in the town and showed us some historic houses and some interesting spots.
For lunch we went to Speedway Cafe and we waited and waited for the menu. The place was severely understaffed. It seemed to take a really long time to get our order to us. Darlene took half of her lunch home. The place used to be a fancy dining establishment in the old days.
After lunch we all went to Darlene's apartment, sat down and chatted. In her younger days Darlene used to take lots of pictures and wanted to show them to Edith.
After selfies and last minute chat we bid Darlene good-bye, went back to the LH, got everything ready. We left Forsyth at 2:15 pm.
We got back on I-94 E to Miles City, MT to check out one roadside attraction: Hairdresser Indian and a Horse, that is on top of an old beauty salon. Since the weather was pleasant and in high 70's we took some time to tour the town. We had to follow the truck route because there was a bridge that has low clearance.
From Miles City we went on 59 South to Broadus, MT. We saw a skunk running with babies in tow in the field, but it was impossible for us to pull over to get a picture.

From 59 S we turned left to 212 and drove through Broadus, MT. This town was where we spent the night at a seedy motel two years ago when Edith became very ill and there was only one motel in that town!. This motel room was very small and dingy, the shower was very small and the drain was filthy, you barely had room to turn around in the shower. the bed was lumpy but the sheets looked clean! Edith was sick and couldn't stay awake any longer so she hit the sack. We were glad when morning came to get out of that place!
While we were on way to Devil's Tower Keri texted to let us know that there is a severe storm on the way and attached a picture of the map with colored zones. The dangerous zone was dark green and where we were at that time was yellow zone, which is not as bad at the green zone. She wanted to be sure we stay away from the green area. 4G Internet was not readily available for us to check latest weather status on internet, so Edith used Mifi ( mobile internet). After discussing we thought we were going to be ok and decided to continue trekking to Devil's Tower.

There were few antelopes and only one deer. We saw an hawk being picked on by two small birds while they were in flight.
We made it to Wyoming state line at 6 pm, but Edith missed taking a picture of the state sign.
During our recent travel we were hoping to see antelopes with their babies, but did not see any until today. There were two little ones with their parents. They started to run away when we pulled over to watch them.
We made it to Devil's Tower without any weather interferences, checked into Devil's Tower KOA campground. They assigned us a site #59, but when Erwin was ready to use electricity it was 30 amps not 50 amps. At checkout he told the clerk he wanted a site with 50 amps, so he had to go back in the office to ask for another site. They moved us to site # 63 (ahhh, much better because of a good view of the tower.
After supper we walked around a bit. There were few activities going on at the campground, outdoor theater which was showing "Close Encounters of the Third Kind" and a guy playing banjo at the fire pit.
Edith was hoping that the clouds would clear up before the sunset, but it did not. However, she got some good pictures of it.
