Another pretty day, not as windy or freezing like it was the other day. Sheets and garbage cans were removed from the plants that we put over during freeze warning.
Edith went to Aldi to pick up some groceries. They were out of tortilla chips that we bought last week and really liked the taste. So, Edith got a different brand and hoped that it tastes as good as the other one.
After dropping groceries off at “home” Edith went off again to Starbucks at Tapestry Park to edit pictures and update travel notes. A milestone was made when we made 300th post. Not a year’s worth of travels, but it felt like we did it for a long time.
Teena and Isaac, along with Annabelle, stopped by while Edith was away to pick up what is left of the dining room furniture. They picked up the table, the leaf and buffet/hutch. The dining room is now empty with the exception of the curio cabinet that belonged to Edith’s momma. We will take it to the clearinghouse (consignment) and have them sell it for us.
Edith prepared beef stew for the supper. Since Aldi did not have petite potatoes she picked up a can of whole potatoes which will do. She added a can of drained green peas (Erwin loves having green peas in the stew). She let it cook for over 2 and half hours and the meat was very very tender. She thickened the gravy with a mixture of water and cornstarch. She usually uses flour and water, but she was out of flour. There was enough leftovers for another meal.
The night was quiet. Edit spent time switching between coloring a page and reading 50 Shades of Grey e-book (now at 63%). Erwin was having pain in his right shoulder, took Ibuprofen, went to bed early.
